this flat iron get my hair straighter than no other. i couldnt believe it. it took almost no effort at all and i had gorgeous healthy straight hair. it heats up to 450 degrees fahrenheit and the silver plates seal the cuticles of the hair reducing split ends and making the ones you already have less noticeable [trust me, i have a ton and i couldnt even tell they were there after using it]. i love love love this and i have a feeling everyone will.

dame edna collection.

so after careful observation i decided absolutely no dame edna collection for me. im buying myself some MAC as a late christmas gift and i was looking over the web site and i saw that they launched the new dame edna collection. am i the only one who finds it awful. i dont think the packaging is cute i find it to be tacky. and the colors arent really anything special. nothing about that collection wows me. however im so excited for hello kitty and the brunette blonde redhead collection.

am i the only one who hates the dame edna collection....?

christmas gifts.

so this wont be a long post because i really didnt get too much for christmas. and actually a lot of it has to go back because it doesnt fit. my favorite gift from a family member this year was my new hounds tooth Michael Kors coat. i love love love it. and then youd be very surprised to hear what the runner up is...a note book. my boyfriend got me this pretty eco-friendly notebook for me to write my new songs in. and heres the best part, we are working together at it. im better at singing and writing, and hes better with the instrument and music aspects. so we started today and ill have a little video up on youtube about it.

disappointing side of christmas out of that whole long list of makeup i got one thing. not even mac. no one wanted to get me makeup cause the items were so small...even though thats what i asked for. so im taking back all the stuff that didnt fit and im taking that money and some of the money that i got as gifts and im buying myself what i wanted.

so i dont know if you guys know, nor do i know when it ends, but cherryculture.com is having a pretty nice sale. i got some christmas money early and within the first hour i had it, its been buring a hole in pockets. so i put it to good use. four nyx lipsticks and two new glosses. i wont name any colors, thats going to be a suprise. =D but im excited for the package to come in. theres a lot on nyx on sale, the round lipsticks, in the most gorgeous colors, are on sale for like $1.50. thats crazy-nuts-o. and if you you spend $40 you get free shipping, so if possible i would have bought a truckload of lipsticks for 40 bucks and got free shipping, but i know id hear it from my mom lol. merry christmas to everyone! and ill have a chirstmas gift video up asap. [i got some really nice gifts already, the only cool part about divorced and re-married parents is two christmas', or if your me and your boyfriend comes from a divorced parent family as well you have four christmas' thats actually not that much fun. lol.]

accepted!

So i believe it was in my "im back" video that i mentioned i had been accepted to 3 colleges so far. well on the 15th my first choice school was making a decision on my early action application. and today my accepted/rejected letter came in from them! what do you think it said?


I GOT IN! im soooooooo excited i cant even contain it lol. this was a perfect christmas present. one of my best friends got into the school too so were planning on rooming together i can wait!!! well i can a little haha. im still kinda afraid of leaving home even though i wont be too far away.

anyway that was just a brief update on my college stuff. i feel like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders, i can finally breath and relaxxxxx yessssss!

my fav lip look [week one].

Welcome to the very first installment of my fav lip look of the week.

the whole weekend i was fidgeting around in my lippies drawer looking for something new to wear on my lips without actually having to buy anything new. i tried on reds, deep purples, fuchsia [not my fav for winter], baby pinks and this is what i came up with and loved:

i mixed two products together to get this pretty nude/strawberry milk pink lip.

NYX black label lipstick in earthy.

MAC dazzle glass in rags to riches.

completely simple to do and looks gorgeous and effortless. i liked my dazzle glass alone but i didnt love it, but i absolutely love it on top of earthy. the glitter looks so pretty layered over the semi- frosty pink. perfection!

omg i need MAA.

make-up addicts anonymous!!! now that im back from my trip i want to haul haul haul! but i cant any money that i have in my bank account in strictly for my christmas shopping needs. sigh. that sucks because i find the best sales every where around the holidays and i have this fear- even if i put a specific item on my christmas list, i might not get it. and then when i have time to get it its no longer such a great deal. this year my list contains basically everything from the mac, sephora, and ulta websites lol. i cant help myself, my christmas list is broken down into sections and its funny because the first one is makeup. makeup takes up about half of the page, typed, single spaced, and in a size 11 font. my dad looked at the list and was like ummm okay i dont know how to buy any of this ill give it to your step mother. i was like fine just stick to whats on the list. no more rediclous sweaters for me this year haha. all jokes aside im really not a materialistic person. i much rather give out gifts to everyone than recieve them. but i also rather not recieve any if they're gonna to be things ill hide in a drawer and never use. [belive it or not but i once had a drawer in my dresser deticated to and filled with bad christmas gifts.] so this year i was specific because i know exactly what i want after months researching this on the internet.

im finally back. and its bitter sweet =). jamaica was beautiful but i missed home, my boyfriend, friends, and well you guys! i took the day off school to recover from my travel back home. so right now im catching up on all my youtube stuff. checking my emails [i had a ton!], answering comments and questions, and watching all my favorite youtuber videos that were posted while i was gone. anyway i have a lot to do lol, so im going to wrap up this post now.

im on the computer at my boyfriends house,its probably the only time ill have to write this. im still in the middle of packing for my trip. its so hard being a girl and having to pack for a week away. and what is this airport rule that my suitcase cant be over 50 lbs. hahaha thatll never happen. im pretty sure it weights more then me. anyway im going to miss you all and your sweet comments. keep em' coming ill check them in about a week when i get back.

easy like sunday morning.

hey guys, i know i haven't posted in a few days, sorry. the holidays always come with a lot of stress and to-dos. my upcoming vacation just adds even more to that stress. i hate packing for long amounts of time, because i never know what it is i need to bring. i almost always end up bringing too much. anyway im currently filling out my last two college applications, they have a december 1st deadline for early action, way to wait till the last minute Laurient! i cant wait until its all done! im over all of this lol, i have a meeting with 3 colleges this week. the colleges are going to tell me to my face right then and there if i got in or not! omg how scary!!! so yeah anyways im sitting here typing my essays, sipping hot tea with honey, and nibbling on a carrot cake muffin. this would be an ideal morning if it was minus the essay part lol, replace that with reviewing youtube videos. anyway more stuff to come before i leave for vaca on thursday!

my mascaras.

okay so i have a few mascaras. i used to own a lot of different ones, but then i saw the pointlessness of all of them. mascara is like the first product to go bad and the last thing you want to do is use an expired product on your eyes, eeeek!

so here are the few that i have and ill give you the low down on them:

[from left to right: too faced lash injection, l'oreal carbon black voluminous, covergirl lash blast, rimmel glam eyes, & dior show].

lash injection- i absolutely hate this product! i was so disappointed because i love too faced, i think its such a great brand with cute packaging and some really nice products. i will never waste my money on this again. it has a really weird smell, i dont even know how to describe it. its pretty clumpy and i dont find that my lashes look good after i use it. so blahh hate it!

voluminous- this stuff is great for its drug store price. ive talked to a lot of people who are completely satisfied with it. without curling this mascara gives me long sexy lashes and adds volume. its gorgeous and pretty much effortless. so i love it.

lash blast- i love lash blast think everyone does. i used the waterproof one for a while but i noticed that it was seriously taking a toll on my lashes so if i do repurchase this which im sure i will it will be the regular black one. i even turned my mom onto lash blast and she loves it too, it really does do wonders for her and she has the teeny tiniest lashes ive ever seen.

glam eyes- glam lash has a unique wand its not the giant thick ones ive been seeing. its a thin one thats more like a comb. it does work though. the wand is okay for me but its a little too flexible for me. it does make my lashes look pretty good though so i wont complain. i would repurchase this especially because its cheap.

dior show- this might just be my favorite prestige brand mascara. the brush is huge and very densely packed. it grabs every lash and makes them look long full and sexy. i wear this almost every day and im never disappointed. definitely worth the $24 i spent on it. i would repurchase this but sadly i dont think that will be in my budget soon so i might have to stick with my drug store favs.

pink look with flirt cosmetics.

i almost never wear pink eyeshadow! i own a few little drug store brand palettes in different shades of pink,but really they just sit there. so when tabbyc001 requested this look i was like okay, but i didnt think id like the way it came out. i ended up loving it! it was fun and pretty, i would wear this a party or something.

i.d. bare mineral glimmers.

so ive had these babies for a little while and i love them! they have so many gorgeous colors to choose from i want to have them all one day [i sound like pokemon. gotta catch em' all].

so this is a little pro/con list about the product.[ i do this all the time in my life]-

pros:

-gorgeous colors.

-beautiful finishes.

-they feel very smooth on the lid.

cons:

-not very long lasting [without a good base].

-some fallout.

-the sifter in the container lets up too much product.

okay so there it is!!! and here are the swatches of the two colors i have:

so if i love these so much why is that i never reach for them? is because of all the things on my cons list? i dont really know. but now that i have my FIX + i can apply them wet so there isnt fallout plus color lasts a little longer and has a very gorgeous metallic finish!

Ustream? AIM? what do you think?

Hey all, so ive been thinking...i feel like i make these videos and i have all these amazing people that sit and take time to subscribe, watch, and write super nice comments on my videos, but i dont really know you guys and, i want to. see heres the deal and let me know what you think.

1) In my next 5 things about me video (whenever that comes out) im going to ask everyone who wants to participate to make a response video telling me 5 things about yourselves. it wont be like a contest, but just so i know a little something about all of you lovely people that watch my videos.

2) I also want to get more live video chats with you guys. ive done one live ustream before, but i didnt have as much support then so it was lacking, but i still had fun with the people that did join the chat.=). now if a lot of you guys joined the ustream....we would have a makeup gossip party! haha. i would probably only be able to do a live ustream like maybe twice a month. i would love to do one like once a week but its not realistic. my computer is downstairs in the middle of everything and im rarely home alone so it would be hard for me to concentrate on you all. so i would try to do one twice a month. let me know what you think.

Last idea, i promise!

3) Okay so i was thinking another way to communicate with you all is to set up an AIM account. this would be easier. so no one has to hear my family going about their daily activities. also its private so if you have any questions that you dont want anyone to see, it can be between you and i. and i would log on more frequently to fill the gaps between ustream sessions. let me know what you all think once again. =)

first CCO haul!

So today I went to a new outlet mall that opened not to far from me! I wasn't expecting anything much, but then I spotted a CCO and I almost passed out =). So I went in and my mom treated me to some MAC goodies since I've been under a lot of college stress.

So I got:

At the ALDO store I also got this super cute bag! its brighter in the picture than it really is but still gorgeous either way! $45 cant really beat that.

i went to ulta over the weekend [sept. 7 08'] because they were having a great sale! okay so here it is ulta cosmetics: one dollar eyeline [seriously the best eyeliner ive ever used]. three dollar eyeshadow and blush. four dollar lip color. so umm hello...the was no way i could miss this. i bought ultas eye shadow base and eyeshadow in golden olive, gold dust, plum noir, and another color that i cant think of the name of lol but its pretty. i bought one blush in adore. one lip gloss in goddess. and two eyeliners one in teal blue and one in chocolate. then i bought two NYX products cause it was buy one get 50% off. so i got NYX blush in terracotta and one jumbo eye shadow pencil in lemon [but its actaully green. weird huh?]. okay thats my haulin. lol check out my youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/smurfylove2 or email me at smurfylove2@ymail.com!
